A Nifty Little Idea

I snagged this idea up from a blog that I frequent, The Milk Tree. GREAT blog. Y’all should swing by there.

It’s always neat to see your kids’ interests changed each year, while they grow and become real people. The original idea was done on a birthday. Although today is not a special ocassion, I still dig the idea. I want to remember what my kids loved when they were 4, 9, 13, and 14. Maybe tease them with it when they’re in their 20’s 🙂 So here’s my 20 questions

This was fun! The kids were more than happy to answer the questions, but who doesn’t like to talk about themselves?? They were also all very curious to see what each other answered, as well. It led up to some great “I didn’t know….” conversations between all of us.  I need to catch Bess when she’s not spitting nails and ask her, too.

My favorites? Mr. Stink totally cracked me up with “helicopter commander”. I was surprised and pleased to hear Boo answer “Petey”…I was sure it’d be Twilight or something like that. And when Bub J answered his song, he sang it. Nice. Very nice.

I think this should be sufficient for blackmailing, and a good laugh. Have you ever done anything like this with your kids? Were you surprised with the results? I kind of was 🙂
